Covid-19

Policies and Procedures

We respectfully request that patients who are experiencing cough, cold or flu-like symptoms DO NOT enter our waiting room.

Instead, we ask that such patients wait outside the practice and contact us on telephone: 03 441 4333 when they arrive for their appointment.  Face masks are recommended for patients who are symptomatic and who are not self-isolating.

Mask use is encouraged within the practice for non-symptomatic patients, although it is optional, and FREE MASKS are available to all patients who wish to wear them. Please ensure that you continue to sanitise your hands before entering and taking a seat in our waiting room.

We thank you for your continued patience and support.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The New Zealand Government announced that the Covid-19 Protection Framework, which was more commonly known as the traffic light system would be removed from 11.59 pm on Monday 12 September 2022.

All remaining Government vaccine mandates will end on 26 September 2022.

Although members of the public are not required by the Government to wear a mask in the majority of places they are still required to do so in healthcare settings such as general practices, hospitals and aged residential care facilities.

Only people who test positive for Covid-19 will be required to isolate for 7 days. The household contacts of those who test positive for Covid-19 will only be asked to undertake a daily rapid antigen test and will, provided that they test negative for Covid-19, be able to continue to go about their normal lives.
